Personal Details
My name is Dr Sharon Pallant and I work as a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 17 years experience working in the NHS.
I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 1995 after 8 years of training and became a Consultant in the year 2004.
Since qualifying, I have been employed by Derbyshire Mental Health Services NHS Trust and have assessed and treated adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties both on an individual basis and in a group setting.
Since having children, I have reduced my hours working for a local Mental Health Service and have developed a private practice offering assessments and therapy for adolescents and adults.
I am not part of a large organisation and hence pride myself on providing a personalised service at a competitive rate.

Professional Qualifications
1987 - 1990 : Attended Royal Holloway & Bedford New College, University of London, and gained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology (upper second class).
1990 - 1992 : Worked as an Assistant Psychologist in Northampton in order to achieve the relevant experience to gain a  place on a Clinical Psychology training course.
1992 - 1995 : Attended the University of Birmingham where I trained to become a Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Clin.Psy.D).
1995 - Present day : Employed by Derbyshire Mental Health Services NHS Trust (adult services).
2004 :

Achieved Consultant status.


Professional Membership
1991 : Joined the British Psychological Society.
2000 : Successfully applied for Chartered status.
